If anyone new is checking out this site after having talked to me at the Stumptown Comics Fest, I thought I should put this post here so you don’t get scared off by the last post. This site will be updated again starting next week, so please check back.

Back Up Soon
Saturday, April 18th, 2009Sorry, I’m Out
Thursday, April 9th, 2009Those of you regularly checking the site may have noticed that there was no print last week, and hasn’t been one this week. I haven’t had the time to post about it, but I’ve made the difficult decision to end the Weekly Print challenge (something my prideful and incredibly stubborn personality feels horrible about), but the site will go on.
Currently, I am a full-time student, and work as a freelance illustrator/designer, comic book artist, and printmaker on top of the work I was doing for this site. I was doing a bit of personal assessment last week and amongst a few other smaller things, the biggest issue that made me decide to end the challenge was that the time restraints were, on occasion, making me release prints of a quality that I has not 100% proud of. It’s also interesting to note that those same prints seem to be the ones that y’all don’t care for either, just in terms of sales (or lack thereof).
So, what does this mean for the site? Before I started the site, I was printing something nearly every week anyways, so I’m going to start covering all the different things I print, whether it be art prints, t-shirts, comic book covers, product packaging, what have you, and I will go into the process of planning and printing those things more frequently. I also want to keep doing the DIY informational posts, and am in the middle of getting one together right now. So, in short, the site will be a lot more coverage into the life and methods of someone that does a lot of screenprinting, not merely a vehicle for art prints.
So, I hope you keep coming back to the site, the prints that have been completed will stay up for sale, as will any future art prints released through the site. Thanks for all the positive support regarding the Weekly Print challenge, I’m sorry I could not complete it as planned, but I hope that you will enjoy the prints I release from here on out even more.

Happy New Year!
Friday, January 2nd, 2009
And Happy Weekly Print Year too! I’ve got the first print planned out, and I’ll be printing this weekend. I will post it on Monday, January 5th. Until that time, there are still discounted yearly subscriptions in the Weekly Print store.
The picture above is a box of 500 sheets of heavy 12″ by 18″ paper. Each sheet equals two normal Weekly Print prints, or one larger print, so the box above is probably only around 1/4 of what I will need for the entire year of The Weekly Print! Still, good (and cheaper) to plan ahead on paper needs, am I right?
What To Expect From The Weekly Print
Sunday, December 28th, 2008
I figure it is probably necessary to write a post about some of the boring technical details in regards to what I plan to create over the course of the next 52 weeks, so this should sum it up:
As stated in earlier posts, I plan on creating at least 50, two or three color, screenprinted, art prints throughout 2009. A new print will be posted roughly once a week. A majority of the prints will be 8″ by 12″, and of either vertical or horizontal layout. Throughout the year, I also plan to make a few 12″ by 18″ prints as well, but probably no more than 10 of the 50 will be of this size. The smaller prints will be available for $15 and will be shipped flat. The larger prints will be $20 and will ship rolled in a heavy cardboard tube.
Subscriptions are available if you wish to purchase multiple prints at a discounted price. All subscriptions will start with the most recent print (check the sidebar on the front page or store). For example, if you were to purchase a one-month subscription (4 prints), you would receive the most recent print and then the next three that I print. If you were to purchase a three-month subscription (12 prints), you would receive the most recent print, and then the next 11; and so on.
In terms of content, if you are unfamiliar with my previous work, please read my initial post for a small sample. I’m a huge fan of cartoony illustration and handrawn lettering, so at the very simplest, I can promise that most, if not all, of the prints will be made of one or both of those elements. I like to feel there is a strong element of humor in my work, and I do not plan on changing that either.
If you have any other questions, please email me at prints@theweeklyprint.com
Welcome to the Weekly Print!
Tuesday, December 16th, 2008
A selection of my 2-3 color screenprints from 2008, as a sampler for those of you who may not know my work very well.
Well howdy, and welcome to The Weekly Print. I assume most of you reading this are coming to the site for the first time, so I may as well explain myself. My name is BT Livermore, and I’m an illustrator, comic artist, and printmaker from Portland, Oregon. I decided to give myself the challenge of creating at least 50 screenprinted art prints in 2009, or roughly one per week, hence the name of the site.
This site will not only be the visual record of my personal challenge, but I hope an interesting glimpse into the life of a DIY screenprinter as well. Besides finished prints, I plan on filling this site with info about my printing process and home setup and am willing to answer any questions you may have regarding such things.
The prints will be for sale individually, but I am also offering subscriptions for those of you interested in supporting the site and receiving a ton of prints along the way. Until I finish the first print in early January, a full year subscription is only $480 (US); payable all at once, or in 12 monthly installments of $40. After the first print is posted, the prices will go up. There are shorter-term subscriptions available as well.
If you have any questions about the subscriptions, the site, or me, feel free to contact me. I will be posting more specific information about my plans for the site and what you can expect in terms of the prints in the next week or so, and I will be posting things frequently from here on out.
Thanks for reading all of this, other posts will probably be much shorter.
